Why Now is a Great Time to consider Selling your Home

Throughout 2021 we have seen supply and demand issues everywhere but in particular in the Housing Market we have seen a low inventory of homes for sale. This is why we have seen so many multiple offer situations with buyers competing against each other to get sellers to choose their offers. New Home Builders are struggling to keep up with demand and interest rates have remained at historic low levels, but this might be changing in 2022. The Mortgage Bankers Association’s forecast predicts that 30-year rates are going to be at 4% by the end of 2022. Fannie Mae’s forecast points to a slower year of sales but not by much. As long as interest rates remain low buyers have higher buying power. Once rates increase some buyers might no longer qualify for the homes they want.

Increase in Home Equity

With the increase in Home Values all Dale City Home Owners should have much more equity in their homes. With the increase in equity you can get much more proceeds when selling your home. The low inventory of homes for sale along with the increased demand have pushed home prices up.

Motivated Buyers

With the looming interest rate increase buyers are very motivated to get homes while rates are still low. Also the spring Real Estate Market is just around the corner, lots of buyers normally are looking for homes in the spring.
